BMW Notes: Observe repair instructions rep-61 27 500! For durable securing and sealing of threaded connections. The product is oil-resistant, hardens when no air is present (anaerobic) between close-fitting metal surfaces to prevent undesired loosening and leaks resulting from impacts and vibration. Specially-suited for high-stress applications such as securing threaded studs in engine blocks, nuts on threaded studs in pump housings as well as other threaded connections in which an extremely tight and durable installation is required. Provides excellent adhesion and is suitable for use with active metals (such as brass and copper) as well as passive materials (such as stainless steel), resists temperatures up to 200°C.
