Before ordering a fem or bdc control unit the customer, vehicle keeper or the duly commissioned third party must demonstrate authorization for procurement by providing the original vehicle documents and an officially-issued photo id! If a third party has been commissioned then a power of attorney from the vehicle keeper is required. Copies of these authorization documents are to be filed in the vehicle records.
